life is good

i had dinner with caroline the other night and as usual left refreshed, happy and ready to make a choice. we are both going through a slightly similar situation in that our husbands are looking for jobs and have decisions to make on which way to go int their careers.

she was quick to remind me life is good. i have a husband who loves me and our children, we have a wonderful family and friends who are loving and supportive (for the most part).

do we stay or go?

it is worth risking a life we are satisfied with for something that has the potential of being exceptional?

happiness is a choice and that is the most important decision we need to make right now.

  1. I don’t know the specifics of the choice you guys are trying to make but in response to this question: “is worth risking a life we are satisfied with for something that has the potential of being exceptional?”
my answer is YES. Always. taking a risk is the only way you will ever get to exceptional.

And I agree that Caroline is pretty much always refreshing. How awesome that you have her as a great friend.

  2. —oops sorry, that was courtney orrange on the previous comment

  3. i reiterate myself in that it is a CHOICE that is made TO stay. yes, it might be exciting to try something different but don’t beat yourself up because you think you didn’t try something. you have to view them both as choices. it’s a choice to go and a choice to stay. no one can give you the answer but youself and there is absolutely no reason that your choice has to be an absolute. changes can always be made….

  4. How fun to visit your blog and see a post about our dinner together. I always love spending time and talking with you, Manya. Know that I’m thinking about you. Whichever choice you make will be the right one.
